Working 60 ft in the air to repair pole lights or façade fixtures comes with unique hazards— day or night. Before every bucket-truck dispatch, our crews run through this 9-point safety checklist to protect your property, passing traffic and themselves.

Pre-Shift

  • A92.2 Daily Inspection – Check hydraulic leaks, outriggers and emergency descent.
  • Flashing Beacons & Cone Zone – 50 ft perimeter with MUTCD-compliant barrel cones.
  • PPE Check – Hi-vis Class 3 vests, ARC-rated gloves, full-body harness.

On-Lift

  • 100 % Tie-off – Lanyard clipped before boom leaves cradle.
  • Two-Way Radios – Ground man calls clearances and traffic.
  • Load Management – Tools on tether; no free-hand carry above 5 lb.

Post-Shift

  • Debris Sweep – No wire clippings left in drive lanes.
  • Light-Level Test – Photometer reading verifies 2 fc min on pavement.
  • Job Ticket & Photos – Client gets before/after shots for documentation.
